Build your career and build your future.
Your a hardworking person who knows they need more income. If cost of living is going up, aren't you worth more at your job? Each day we face the challenges of price and cost adjustments. This affects our living situations. Are you able to pay your rent, purchase the food you need each week, keep your utilities running, even pay your debts and medical bills off? Most of us find this a challenge while overworking oneself and getting underpaid. You might be a few years in without a raise or any benefits. This is a predicament. If your feeling this pressure my best advice is to open your mouth. Say something to your manager, your boss, your employer or whoever has the authority to give you the raise you deserve. If your a hardworking individual you should get paid like one. Often enough we as employees do not speak up. Whether we are offered a job and the employer says they can only pay $1 over the minimum wage or you have been stagnant without a raise for some time. If and when you speak up, plan your discussion, know your value, say a prayer, and be confident. If your working hard your employer knows it to. It's all a matter of if and when you come to them for the pay raise. If your a new hire whose just been offered the job expect to get the offer before you interview. Dress professional at your interview and be confident. Think in advance of reasons why you should earn more for the position you will be in. Perhaps you have skills or experience that pertains to the type of work. Yes there are those situations when the employer won't budge but if you don't stand up for yourself nobody will. If more people ask for the money they need to survive the only option is to offer more pay to each and every person. Stand confident, believe in yourself and go for the raise or pay you desire and need. If you know your value and your employer does to, you will get the pay your looking for.
